Bee Quiz on the Nationwide Campaign Days of the UN Decade “Education for Sustainable Development” (2005-2014)
With Bees into the Future – A Quiz in Two Parts
Understanding the importance of honeybees will be an important objective of an education for sustainable development, pre-eminently in view of the present bee mortality. Therefore, HOBOS offers to reassess the perceived level of information about the honeybee. By means of an interactive online quiz, HOBOS participates in the nationwide campaign days “Education for Sustainable Development” which have been taking place from 21 to 30 September 2012.
How does the quiz work?
The Bee Quiz is divided in two parts (15 questions / 35 questions). The brief first part is to convey the participants sustainable thinking and practice. HOBOS points up issues and gives concrete advice what everyone can do for the honeybee in everyday life. Furthermore, the United Nations’ theme of the year, food, is taken up. The second part asks knowledge questions on the honeybee. Those can be answered by means of the information provided by HOBOS or live-observations of the HOBOS bee colony. Each question only calls for one answer. The correct answers just have to be selected. The more questions the participant answers correctly, the more scores he can make. Only after the successful completion of the first part (110-150 scores), the comprehensive second part of the game is accessible. That means, at least 11 of 15 questions in the first part have to be answered correctly. Several tries are possible. Answers are rated online. All solves are also available for a further read.
Tip
The easiest way is to open another browser window for the quiz. Hence it is possible to call the HOBOS-site for the answering of the questions.
Privacy
Of course, no data of the participants is being stored or shared. This is a free offer of HOBOS within the frame of the UN Decade “Education for Sustainable Development”.
