The book “The Buzz about Bees” by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Tautz has been translated into various languages , hence it is only natural that it would also pass through the royal house of Jordan. Thanks to Dr. Nizar Haddad, the contact between Her Highness Princess Basma bint Ali of Jordan and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Tautz was established in Amman.  He is responsible for the work of HOBOS in the Arab States. 

Her Highness Princess bint Ali of Jordan is His Majesty King Abdullah II's cousin.  He has been in office since 1999.  Her Highness Princess bint Ali of Jordan supports the bee project HOBOS from Würzburg, Germany, and champions the project in public, especially at the international level.  Jürgen Tautz and the HOBOS team are very fond of this. 

Her Royal Highness Princess bint Ali of Jordan plays an active role as founder and president in many other non-profit projects that are related to sustainable development and the environment.  By doing this, she raises the public’s awareness for protecting the environment and has been granted many prizes for her deeds, e. g. the King Hussein Gold Medal for outstanding achievements.
